At the end of our final sight-seeing trip, we finally made it to Himeji. This is perhaps the best example of the height of Japanese castle building still in its original condition. Most of the castles in Japan were destroyed during the fire bombing of WWII. This castle and a few others are all that have remained intact. We were lucky to get there just in time for the cherry blossoms.
We have lived in Japan for a year and a half working as English teachers. This site showcases pictures and stories for friends and family, as well as some potentially useful information for new English teachers in Japan.
